CHILD School provides early intervention for children ages 3-10. Each classroom is made up of 7 to 10 students, with a student to teacher ratio of no more than 5:1. In addition, a number of teaching assistants are assigned to students who need additional supervision and assistance. Each student has an individualized education program (IEP) which assures that the student will have opportunities to develop their areas of strength and receive extra help in the areas where skill development is more difficult. At CHILD School we place a strong emphasis on the development of social interaction skills because they are so basic to a student's overall school success. Children with learning differences often have difficulty generalizing skills to new situations or environments. By using games, activities, lessons, and practice, teachers help students with several important areas of social development: To inquire about enrollment or to refer a student you are currently working with, call Trisa Harris at (206) 232-8680 ext. 204 or click here to email her.
