A successful art program must reach out and meet the student and invite them in.
The art program at CHILD assesses where each child is developmentally and
makes the appropriate modifications to the project.
Through art, children can learn an array of skills from sequencing, listening skills, memory, appropriateness, understanding and self control. The arts teach through
doing.
Hands-on activities give the student a sensory experience while
completing projects. Projects are designed with the enhancement of self
esteem as one of the end goals. We want our students to be successful.
