A Planned Gift Can Make a Big Difference at CHILD!
The generosity of CHILD's supporters is extraordinary, allowing us to provide scholarships to needy students, purchase equipment, upgrade our building, hire exceptional teachers and support staff, and many special projects that help our students to achieve success. Thank you!
Planned gifts typically come from a donor's assets rather than income, and can be either outright or deferred. Here are two ways to make a planned gift. Your tax advisor or attorney may have many other ideas of how you can make such a gift to CHILD, and can help you prepare the necessary documents to set it up.
-
Bequests allows you to make a gift to CHILD as part of your estate. You can make CHILD a beneficiary in your will, either by listing the amount you'd like to donate, or by specifying that CHILD is to receive whatever part of your estate is left after other bequests to family members or friends have been made.
-
Life Income Trusts allow you to make a gift now, and realize an annual income from it for life, while protecting your assets from estate taxes after your death. Another version of such a trust includes donating your home to the agency, with the guarantee that you can occupy the property for the rest of your life.
CHILD encourages you to discuss the possibilities of a planned gift of any kind with your tax advisor and attorney before proceeding.

Children's Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All contributions to the agency are tax-deductible according to the Internal Revenue Service.
